I use company data to predict consumer reactions to offers/promotions. The end objectives are to improve ROI on Marketing expenditures, improve the fit between the consumer/product, reduce credit risk, increase usage, improve product design, etc. It’s a profession that focuses on improving Marketing efficiency so profits tend to be increased by a percentage and therefore large companies stand to gain the most. I’m from the USA, but have lived in Madrid for 8 years with my Spanish wife and two children.
